Accounting and Finance Manager
Looking to add a new team member due to GROWTH!

- Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
- Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on the SAGE 300 ERP systems for our teams in the branches
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage A/R and A/P specialists and an Accounting Assistant
- Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
- Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with external audits, income taxes and acquisition accounting
- Plan, assign, and review staff’s work
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with our Controller and CFO to improve financial procedures
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
- Proven experience as a controller, manager, or accounting supervisor
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages. Preferably SAGE 300 or equivalent packages like SAP, JD Edwards, Net Suite, etc.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
