Job Title: Contract Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: West Chester, Ohio
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract position at our West Chester, Ohio location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling full-cycle accounts payable processes and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and authorization
- Manage vendor records and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
- Prepare and execute payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing activities
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices
