- Prepare monthly journal entries with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assume ownership of various inventory responsibilities, including standard costing and annual updates, book to perpetuals, Excess & Obsolete Inventory, Lower of Cost or Net Realizable Value, cycle counts, and physical counts.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to enhance and streamline existing accounting processes, ensuring efficient month-end close and reconciliation.
- Engage with local plant controllers and other finance professionals to drive project completion and deliverables, particularly during annual standard cost updates.
- Perform all tasks in strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Provide requested data to internal and external auditors supporting the corporate accounting group.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with executive-level leadership and day-to-day employees.
- Willingness to excel as a sole-contributor and become a Subject Matter Expert.
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and similar functions.
- Preferred experience with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, One Stream, or Hyperion.
