This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong background in global and U.S. GAAP accounting, financial leadership, and team development. As the Controller, you’ll oversee consolidated reporting, audits, tax compliance, and cross-functional partnerships—all while driving continuous improvement and modernization of financial operations.

trak group is hiring a Controller for a growing, global organization headquartered in the Greater Cincinnati area. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong background in global and U.S. GAAP accounting, financial leadership, and team development. As the Controller, you’ll oversee consolidated reporting, audits, tax compliance, and cross-functional partnerships—all while driving continuous improvement and modernization of financial operations.

- Contribute to process improvements, digitization, and automation initiatives

- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes across U.S. and global entities
- Compile and analyze consolidated financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Serve as the primary liaison for audits, banking relationships, and global finance teams
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit and process compliance
- Lead tax management efforts including VAT/GST, duties/tariffs, transfer pricing, and federal/state/local filings
- Partner across departments (inventory, payroll, compensation, insurance, etc.) to align financial strategy and compliance
- Manage and develop a team of 4–5 professionals, including 2 direct reports
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including leadership roles in multi-entity or global organizations
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with global accounting practices
- Experience with tax structures, royalties, transfer pricing, and international compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, Adaptive, or similar)
- A passion for continuous improvement, automation, and systems optimization
- Advanced Excel and comfort with Microsoft Office tools
