Controller
Pay: $130,000–$140,000 + bonus
Location/Schedule: Onsite | Greater Cincinnati area (flexibility for appointments, family needs, and Flex Fridays)
We’re partnering with an employee-owned manufacturing company seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead their accounting operations. You’ll have a seat at the table with leadership and play a key role in shaping processes, supporting financial growth, and mentoring a high-performing team. - Lead the budgeting process and support long-term financial planning
- Manage month-end/year-end close, audits, GL, and internal controls
- Deliver financial reports, cash flow projections, and business insights
- Oversee payroll operations across multiple locations and collaborate with HR
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, banking, and bonding requirements
- Support ESOP and retirement plan reporting and coordination
- Mentor and guide the accounting team while working cross-functionally with leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in leadership
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, tax, and financial compliance
- Experience overseeing payroll operations
- Collaborative communicator with a process improvement mindset
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
