Are you ready to take ownership of an accounting team and drive meaningful change? This Accounting Manager role offers the chance to build a strong foundation for the accounting and finance function, develop new processes, and make a significant impact in a dynamic distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, pricing, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare compliance reports for taxes, including CAT and excise tax.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
- Lead process improvements and ensure robust internal controls.
- Support inventory management and drive cost efficiency across the business.
- Provide cross-departmental analytical support and implement financial policies.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering growth within the department.
- Lead ERP system implementations and manage ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Experience in distribution or manufacturing environments (preferred).
- Leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
