Accounting Manager
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 8am-5pm

Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and managing a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and assist with the budget process.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role is preferred.
