Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Full-time

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting. This role leads a small accounting team while partnering closely with plant leadership and finance stakeholders to support financial processes, reporting, and operational decision-making. The position is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, supporting the monthly close process, and driving continuous improvement in accounting procedures, systems, and compliance efforts within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a small accounting team through coaching, performance management, workload planning, and professional development

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

  • Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost accounting

  • Prepare financial and managerial reports, highlighting key insights for leadership

  • Develop reports for the parent organization and regulatory agencies as required

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support annual financial planning and periodic forecasting

  • Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation and resolving audit findings

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and corporate accounting standards

  • Perform cost accounting activities and analyze project profitability related to capital investments

  • Ensure accurate fixed asset tracking and proper depreciation practices

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting through automation and system optimization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field

  • 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and the relationship between the income statement and balance sheet

  • Knowledge of the business cycle and how operational activities impact financial results

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels

  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to build financial models for analysis and forecasting

  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency required

  • Familiarity with corporate reporting platforms is a plus
