Assistant Controller

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Full-time

Join trak group in partnering with an established client in Cincinnati, Ohio, that’s expanding its team. 


Client Summary:

  • Focused on customer-driven product development, designing solutions with the end user’s needs at the center

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process

  • Coordinate and perform financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis

  • Monitor the attainment of financial and operational performance metrics

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of the annual budget and interim forecasting processes

  • Manage master data to ensure accurate flow through the ERP system (Acumatica)

  • Support cost accounting functions and develop pricing and cost estimates for new products while working closely with the Cost Accountant

  • Analyze sales accounts with a focus on pricing analysis and marginal cost evaluation

  • Develop new reporting and analytical tools to improve monitoring and performance tracking

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product cost data for pricing and business decision-making

  • Review standard and actual costs to identify discrepancies or inaccuracies

  • Complete monthly account reconciliations and support the overall close process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to commit to a long-term contract assignment
