CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist/Programmer

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First Shift

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Northern Kentucky, that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 

Responsibilities

  • Set up and program Swiss and other CNC lathes.

  • Write and edit programs for Citizen and Ganesh machines.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and machining sequences.

  • Mount, align, and secure tooling and workpiece materials.

  • Monitor machine displays and operations to detect malfunctions.

  • Perform quality inspections and accurately record results.

  • Conduct minor repairs and routine machine maintenance, including oil and lubrication changes.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Complete job documentation and quality control checkpoints.

  • Operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and metal saws.

Requirements

  • Experience programming and setting up CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen and Ganesh).

  • Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and machining diagrams.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push/pull, and lift up to 40 lbs.
