Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians in examination and treatment of patients.
- Performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the physician.
- Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
- Preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Providing support to physicians/clinical staff.
- Performing and obtaining tests and specimens following proper procedures.
- Demonstrating technical skills according to hospital's and department's policies/procedures.
- Maintaining efficiency, organization, and time management skills.
- Documenting patient care accurately in charts and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensuring the general appearance and cleanliness of exam rooms, supply areas, and nurses' station.
What you need to succeed:
- Certified or registered medical assistant OR LPN license in good standing.
- Comfortable with injections AND blood draws.
- Very professional and mature - high Medicaid population.
- Self-starter – someone who will go find things to get done.
- Strong computer skills (Epic experience highly preferred).
- Comfortable answering phones.
- Comfortable working with kids.
- Flu shot.
