Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the welcoming presence for the methadone clinic, interacting with patients and creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Verify patient data, including diagnosis, treatment proof, and insurance information to ensure accurate records.
  • Manage medical billing tasks efficiently, ensuring claims are submitted and payments are accurately posted.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and insurance companies to ensure streamlined communication and services for patients.
  • Handle daily tasks such as greeting patients, checking insurance, and coordinating with doctors and therapists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Perform data entry tasks using software systems like Care Logic and MetaSoft to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Engage in timely follow-up and collection activities related to patient accounts and insurance claims.
  • Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment, working comfortably with mental health issues and maintaining a compassionate approach.
What you need to succeed:
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to adapt to a variety of daily challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Experience in medical billing and a strong understanding of billing processes.
  • Familiarity with non-profit organizations could be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, medical professionals, insurance providers, and government agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage patient records, insurance claims, and billing information accurately.
  • Proficiency in data entry using software systems such as Care Logic and MetaSoft.
