Responsibilities include:
  • Underwrite new and renewing commercial & commercial real estate loan requests, assessing varying levels of complexity with deal sizes up to $6 million.
  • Utilize your expertise to prepare loan requests, conduct periodic reviews, and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Skillfully spread and analyze business & personal financial information, enabling informed decision-making during the lending process.
  • Craft comprehensive loan write-ups, incorporating industry ratio analysis and tracking changes in company financials over time.
  • Propose and recommend deal structures that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Leverage your expertise to contribute to other assignments, such as portfolio reporting and risk identification.
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in banking, finance, or lending is required.
  • Substantial understanding of financial analysis, including various types of commercial and mortgage lending like multi-family, land development, and construction lending.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting business financial statements and tax returns.
  • Experience in company loan write-ups, demonstrating strong business writing and credit write-up skills.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry is highly valued, and candidates with previous experience outside of banking will be considered.
  • Strong business sense and financial acumen to assess loan opportunities effectively.
  • Exceptional computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to leverage technology to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all customer and financial data.
