- Analyzing and privileging files of providers during recruitment and onboarding.
- Preparing, disseminating, and reviewing Medical Staff applications.
- Verifying and following up on the processing of incoming applications for medical staff appointments and privileges.
- Preparing and processing reappointment applications for the Medical Staff.
- Analyzing incoming information to determine applicant eligibility and evaluating provider-specific data for review.
- Investigating and validating discrepancies and potentially adverse information from applications or primary sources.
- Verifying and documenting expirable information using acceptable Primary or Equivalent Source Verification.
- Performing data entry of applicant information into the credentialing database to ensure accurate and current information.
- Maintaining and storing medical staff files.
- Providing assistance and backup to Executive Secretarial support of the Joint Credential Committee and its chairs.
- Maintaining records and disseminating information on staff privileges as appropriate.
- Ensuring strict confidentiality of physician data.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Outgoing and personable demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze files for discrepancies.
- 1-2 years of healthcare and administrative support experience.
- Understanding of healthcare is essential (leader is willing to train on credentialing if needed).
- Yearly flu shot during flu season (not needed until fall).
- Experience with medical credentialing highly preferred.
- Certification through a medical staff organization (CPCS, CPMSM, etc.) is a plus.
