Credit Collections Senior Manager/Director

Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate and monitor compliance with credit policies to ensure proper controls are in place
  • Partner with sales, pricing, treasury, and business unit leaders to ensure credit exposure and cost of capital are built into the commercial decision making
  • Develop a system of controls for early detection of exposure risk
  • Develop and manage communication with sales, operations, and business unit owners in relation to customer credit line availability
  • Handle the debt referral function and ensure third-party collection performance is maximized
  • Own the bankruptcy process including working with legal to pursue collection on bankruptcies and other insolvency cases
  • Direct, establish and monitor performance standards for collections, disputes and deductions
  • Ensure that collection activities are performed on all accounts with a past due AR balance, in accordance with corporate policy
  • Adopt and implement collection strategies aligned with various customer types, including strategic accounts, mid-tier, and small accounts
  • Ensure the collections team meets all customer contact and collection metrics and goals
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies to decrease DSO while maintaining a positive customer experience
  • Work closely with cash application management to influence and execute the order to cash strategy
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops employees as well as builds morale and motivation
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 7 to 10 years of experience managing commercial credit and collections for large corporations
  • Servant leadership mindset
  • Experience handling a large volume (high volume/low value) of transactions
  • Microsoft Office experience, including performing and directing moderately complex research in spreadsheet and database programs such as Excel
  • Experience with major ERPs and collection software
  • Demonstrated experience with credit rating and risk management tools and methodologies
  • Project management exposure including the ability to drive multiple projects concurrently
