- Prepare sketches, detailed drawings, and illustrations using drafting instruments or computer-aided design equipment.
- Coordinate the fabrication of models and drafting of working drawings from sketches.
- Modify and refine designs to conform with customer specifications and production limitations.
- Coordinate the look and function of product lines, collaborating with engineering, marketing, and production departments.
- Present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval and discuss the need for modification.
- Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas based on factors such as appearance, safety, and production costs.
- Research production specifications, costs, and materials to provide cost estimates and production requirements.
- Develop manufacturing procedures and monitor the manufacture of designs to improve operations and product quality.
- Bachelor's Degree required; new grads are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in CATIA, CAD background, FEA, 3D printing, and prototyping.
