Die Maintenance Associate
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 2nd shift - 6: 15pm start or hours can be staggered to support staff coverage weekend work as required
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Fairfield, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Objective:
Responsible for maintaining and repairing production dies to support efficient press operations and minimize downtime. This role contributes to product quality, production performance, and a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on progressive and transfer dies to ensure reliable performance and longevity
Execute preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and support consistent production quality
Troubleshoot and resolve die-related issues during production to maintain efficiency
Conduct test runs and inspections to verify parts meet quality and engineering standards
Safely transport tooling using appropriate material handling equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
Support overall tool room operations and collaborate with team members as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Several years of hands-on experience in tool and die maintenance, with strong expertise in progressive and transfer dies
Proficient in operating tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders
Skilled in TIG welding and precision finishing techniques for high-quality repairs
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, including working within the metric system
Foundational education required, with relevant experience supporting advanced technical capability
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and repetitive tasks
Capable of standing for extended periods throughout the shift
Comfortable with frequent bending, lifting, twisting, stooping, and kneeling
Willingness to work a full-time schedule with potential for overtime and occasional weekend hours based on production needs
Working Conditions:
Exposure to industrial materials such as processing oils and machine lubricants
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
