Director, Sustaining Engineering
trak group is hiring a Director of Sustaining Engineering for a values-driven manufacturing company known for innovation, growth, and high-impact solutions. In this leadership role, you’ll take ownership of existing product lines—driving quality, performance, and efficiency across engineering, operations, and supply chain.

- Lead a small, hands-on team—providing direction, accountability, and development
- Optimize manufacturing processes and integrate alternate components with supply chain and quality teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve design issues; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Translate customer feedback into actionable engineering improvements
- Align sustainment strategy with company goals while supporting ongoing process and product innovation
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with plastic molded parts and electrical/electronic components
- 5+ years leading engineering teams or programs—ideally in a manufacturing or product support environment
- Deep knowledge of plastic injection and/or rotational molding and tank-based assemblies
- Strong background in design for manufacturability, quality systems, and lifecycle engineering
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, operations, and quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
