Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Purchasing to lead and manage our procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and quality of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain a reliable supplier network.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for products and services.
- Optimize inventory management to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Director of Purchasing or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
