Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Location: West Chester, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies that ensure a safe and healthy working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training programs and emergency response plans.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to safety metrics and incidents.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and accident investigation.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role.
- Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is preferred.
