- Integral Role: Become an essential part of the pharmacy operations team, contributing to the distribution of medications to patients in various hospital units.
- Skill Development: Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your skills in medication distribution, including selecting, counting, compounding, packing, labeling, and delivering medications.
- Diverse Experience: Work across multiple areas of the pharmacy to maintain competency and broaden your skills, covering the entire job scope.
- Medication Distribution: Proficiently handle the distribution of medications, covering tasks such as selecting, counting, compounding, packing, labeling, and delivering medications to different units within the hospital (inpatient and outpatient units, emergency room, and operating room).
- Electronic Health Record: Demonstrate proficiency in accessing and navigating the electronic health record, utilizing pharmacy automated systems to streamline processes.
- Multi-Area Competency: Work in multiple areas of the pharmacy, ensuring competence and skill development in all aspects of the job.
- Education: High School Degree or GED.
- Licensure/Certification: Hold an active National Pharm Tech Cert (CPhT). Approved certifications include Pharm Tech Cert Board (PCTB) and ExCPT Cert by the National Healthcareer Association. Additionally, maintain active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
