Responsibilities include:
- Phone Coordination: Work as a Scheduling Coordinator handling phone duties, scheduling appointments, and surgeries for the Gastroenterology group from the Montgomery main office.
- Training and Shadowing: Undergo a 4-6 week training period to learn systems such as Epic, travel to different offices, and shadow team members.
- Complex Scheduling: Coordinate relatively complex scheduling requirements for patients.
- Basic Understanding: Demonstrate a basic understanding of medical terminology, ideally with a background as a Medical Assistant, STNA, or PCA.
- LPN License: Hold an active LPN license, essential for making referrals to hospitals and emergency departments.
- Clerical Skills: Showcase strong clerical skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in systems like Epic, Misys, and Outlook.
- Customer Service Attitude: Bring an empathetic and service-oriented attitude to handle patients in sometimes stressful life situations.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills, staying focused on provider and patient needs without distractions like cell phones.
