Job Title: MRSS Crisis Therapist (Days)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Job Description:
The MRSS Crisis Therapist will provide immediate, on-site crisis intervention services to individuals and families experiencing acute mental health episodes. The therapist will assess, stabilize, and connect clients to appropriate follow-up care and resources. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, empathy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop crisis intervention plans.
- Provide therapeutic support and counseling to clients in crisis.
- Collaborate with local service providers, emergency personnel, and community resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and interventions.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure as a clinical social worker, psychologist, or counselor.
- Experience in crisis intervention and management.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual capabilities.
- Experience with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with local mental health resources and services.
Work Schedule:
- Day shifts with occasional on-call responsibilities.
