Maintenance Aid

trak group is hiring a Maintenance Aid to assist with building upkeep, repairs, and unit preparation. This role offers stability, hands-on work, and growth potential for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, and welcoming.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Janitorial Support
- Clean and maintain floors (scrubbing, waxing, polishing)
- Clean restrooms and restock supplies
- Maintain exterior grounds, sidewalks, and common areas
- Clean vacant units as part of turn/make-ready process
Repair & Maintenance Assistance
- Assist senior Maintenance Workers with basic repairs (screens, doors, fixtures)
- Replace light bulbs and fixtures;perform minor electrical tasks
- Support general building repairs (gutters, downspouts, mower blades)
- Move furniture, appliances, and supplies as needed
Equipment & Seasonal Tasks
- Operate and maintain janitorial equipment (vacuums, scrubbers, polishers)
- Perform snow removal when needed
- Maintain overall curb appeal and ensure safe conditions
Customer Service
- Provide courteous, professional assistance to residents and staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Experience operating janitorial equipment (vacuums, scrubbers, polishers)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning agents and materials
- Ability to work in an industrial/maintenance environment
- Physical ability to lift, move, and perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines
