Responsibilities include:
- Interface with the Production Team to provide excellent customer service and maintain company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategies to enhance operating efficiency.
- Manage warranties, service guarantees, and vendor/subcontractor relationships.
- Lead the Maintenance Team in planning, scheduling, and completing maintenance work orders.
- Utilize maintenance systems/tools for planning, tracking, and prioritizing department activities.
- Develop and maintain written maintenance policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Manage inventory stores, implement cost reductions, and optimize capital equipment life.
- Lead a motivated and well-trained maintenance team with a safety-first focus.
- Communicate effectively and lead multiple operational initiatives, including training and development.
What you need to succeed:
- Excellent trainer and leader with experience working with younger team members.
- Strong people skills, especially when working with union members, with a focus on fostering a team mentality.
- Jack of all trades with equipment experience, able to delegate duties and add structure to the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience with 8+ years in manufacturing or packaging industries.
- Preferably ten or more years of experience in the corrugated box industry with expertise in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
