- Join a dynamic team as the Shift Manager Maintenance, responsible for overseeing hourly union employees in a fast-paced and complex operations environment
- Opportunity to contribute to preventative maintenance operations and mobile equipment repair
- Work in a 24/7 facility with a focus on safety and a strong emphasis on a proactive and aware approach
- Preferential consideration for military personnel due to the valued grit they bring
- Utilize your leadership skills to manage a team, typically overseeing 12-15 individuals
- Hands-on role with 10-15% paperwork and the majority of time spent on the floor with the team
- Be part of a steel union team, driving operational excellence in a manufacturing environment
- Utilize your mechanical aptitude and experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Opportunity for growth and development within a union environment
- Supervise and direct hourly employees, assigning manpower and equipment for equipment repair and upgrades
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance activities and manage equipment breakdown scenarios
- Implement safety program goals to ensure a safe work environment
- Identify problems, gather relevant information, and analyze effectively
- Collaborate with the team to assess and prepare for upcoming shifts to meet safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Operations/Maintenance experience with a focus on preventative maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in maintenance and mobile equipment repair
- Preferred degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in a union environment is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage people
- Grit and adaptability, with military personnel fitting right in
- Leadership skills to lead a steel union team
- Proactive and aware, with the ability to plan and think ahead
- Manufacturing industry experience
