Job Title: Master Scheduler
Location: Forest Park, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Job Description:
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and managing the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products. This role involves planning and organizing production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements, and ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a master schedule that supports business forecasts and customer demands.
- Collaborate with various departments such as production, procurement, and sales to ensure alignment with the master schedule.
- Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules to accommodate changes in orders or production issues.
- Analyze production data to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and production bottlenecks.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on production performance and scheduling metrics.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize scheduling processes.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a scheduling or planning role.
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar is a plus.
