Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler / Shipping professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the efficient handling of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for accuracy and quality.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials and products.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling, and documenting shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in forklift operation.
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
