Middle-School Based Therapist

Are you passionate about helping children navigate their emotional and behavioral challenges? Join our team as a Middle-School Therapist, where you’ll have the chance to provide life-changing therapeutic interventions in a school setting. This role offers you the flexibility to manage your day while being a consistent presence in students’ lives, giving you the autonomy to structure your administrative tasks around school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of therapeutic services, including Trauma-Informed Care, Family Therapy, and Group Therapy, to middle school students in a dynamic and supportive environment
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans (ISPs), while providing ongoing counseling to children and their families
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and external providers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Create a safe and welcoming space for students to express themselves, helping them build resilience and improve their mental well-being
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW), Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related area
- Active LSW or LPC licensure in good standing
- 1-3+ years of experience providing counseling and psychotherapy to children (internship experience included)
- A passion for making a tangible difference in children’s lives
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus
