Millwright (Maintenance Tech) - Third Shift
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Fairfield, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Job Title: Permanent Millwright (Maintenance Technician) - Third Shift
Location: Fairfield, Ohio
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of equipment parts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Experience with welding, machining, and fabricating parts.
- Ability to use hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;technical certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or Maintenance Technician.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Ability to work third shift hours and adapt to a flexible schedule when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions (standing, bending, and kneeling).
- Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
