Operations Manager
Location: Vandalia, OH
Setting/Hours: 100% Onsite
trak group is partnering with a stable, growing organization to find an Operations Manager on a direct-hire basis. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a hands-on operator with steel or industrial metals experience, offering direct visibility to senior leadership and a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse and production operations across two shifts
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 employees plus two supervisors
- Drive culture, accountability, and performance across the operation
- Oversee staffing, performance management, and discipline
- Coordinate workflow, scheduling, and production output
- Identify and implement efficiency and process improvements
- Track and manage KPIs and operational metrics
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Oversee equipment maintenance and facility organization
- Support budgeting and capital planning
- Partner with vendors, customers, and leadership
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a steel service center, industrial, metals, or manufacturing warehouse environment
- Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong accountability mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable managing across multiple shifts
- High School Diploma required;Associate's degree preferred
- Computer proficiency required
