Painter (3rd shift)
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Mon-Fri 10p-6: 15a with some Saturdays based on business needs.
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Batavia, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Purpose of Position:
Opportunity for an experienced Industrial Painter to perform surface preparation and painting activities in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on applying coatings to meet quality standards while working with various paints, solvents, and materials. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and environmental guidelines, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality finished products.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality
Apply coatings to equipment and components using spray equipment, maintaining an even, defect-free finish
Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance
Maintain clean and organized work areas, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of materials
Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations, including proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous substances
Support additional tasks and collaborate with other teams to meet production needs
Specific Requirements/ Qualifications:
Prior experience in industrial painting with strong skills in surface preparation and coating application
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including handling chemicals and performing physically demanding tasks
Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to paints, solvents, and hazardous materials
Ability to operate painting equipment such as spray guns and pressure pots with precision and consistency
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and properly prepared surfaces
Physically capable of lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive movements
Ability to follow instructions accurately and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Good hand-eye coordination and overall physical capability to safely perform painting tasks
Willingness to work in conditions with exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals while following proper safety measures
Education:
•High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required
Pay: Starting pay is $18.50/hr + $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift (based on experience)
Shifts: 1st shift –Monday-Friday, 6am-2: 15pm
2nd shift –Monday-Friday, 2: 15pm-10pm (+ $2.00)
3rd shift –Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6: 15am (+ $2.00)
