Responsibilities include:

Ensure accurate and timely financial close processes, resolve accounting discrepancies, and comply with financial policies and procedures.
Engage in general accounting activities, including maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial reporting.
Develop, maintain, and analyze forecasts, and prepare reports comparing forecasts to actual costs.
Follow up on customer accounts, including credit issuances and collection activity.
Ensure accurate processing of hourly payroll and related functions, and guide and develop accounting associates.
Analyze financial records and reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards, and provide advice on business operations and financial projections.

What you need to succeed:

Industry Experience: While industry experience in manufacturing or packaging is preferred, we're open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, as Daniel transitioned from retail seamlessly.
1-3 Years Relevant Experience: Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, with strong Excel skills.
BA Degree in Accounting: A degree in accounting is preferred over finance, providing a solid foundation for the role.
Versatile Skill Set: Candidates should be adept at various accounting tasks, including credit/collections, journal entries, GL management, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, expense reporting, stock compliance, sales tax, and payroll.
Process Improvement Orientation: We're seeking candidates who are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Openness to Learning & Growth: Candidates should be open to learning and growing internally, with the potential for advancement to a plant controller role in the future.
