Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with the overseas team regarding production, quality, and customer requirements.
- Receive, process, and analyze customer purchase orders based on established customer requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders for processing by the China team.
- Enter product information from sample request forms into product specification forms.
- Ensure products comply with government safety regulations by managing product testing documents and utilizing the company's reasonable testing program.
- Analyze product pricing based on previous quotes, purchase orders, current material/labor costs, and exchange rates.
- Resolve and communicate any necessary updates, issues, or concerns to the rest of the team.
- Assist product development with designs and constructions, and recommend changes based on potential quality, safety, or cost concerns.
- Offer sales support to the merchandising team by entering items in customer portals and pre-sales tasks as needed.
- Investigate customer chargebacks as they relate to quality concerns.
- Research and onboard new product categories.
- Develop and implement interdepartmental efficiencies.
- Closely track exchange rates and take necessary steps to mitigate fluctuations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Solution-driven mindset.
- Ability and willingness to negotiate pricing with manufacturers and distributors.
- Capability to plug into and follow a repeatable process.
