Job Description
Production Technician
trak group is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing company to find a detail-oriented Production Technician to support quoting, drafting, and manufacturing processes. - Convert incoming sales quotes into finished technical drawings and production instructions.
- Create and revise AutoCAD drawings based on customer renderings and internal specifications.
- Draft die designs and outline manufacturing steps per workstation.
- Input Bills-of-Material (BOMs) and support planning and scheduling through Epicor ERP.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing timelines and assist with quoting.
- Partner with schedulers to manage product conversions and ensure smooth production flow.
- Help meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) in your department.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical Degree in Engineering preferred.
- 1–5 years of drafting experience and strong AutoCAD proficiency.
- Experience using Excel, Word, and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, ability to make independent decisions, and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work in an office environment with occasional physical tasks.
