Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate design experience in plastic injection, rotational, blow, and extrusion, as well as sheet metal.
- Work in consumer products, medical devices, automotive, or related industries.
- Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Practice Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Utilize simulation tools (FEA/CFD) and develop Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Lead Engineering Change Notices/Orders/Requests (ECN/ECO/ECR).
- Drive process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis and engage cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing teams.
What you need to succeed:
- BSMET or BSME with 5+ years of experience, or less if demonstrating strong competency in component and full system mechanical design.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience in designing electro-mechanical equipment with basic knowledge of circuitry and control systems.
- Background in industries such as Medical Devices, Capital Equipment, Consumer Goods, etc.
