trak group is partnering with an innovative product development team to find a Project Design Engineer who’s ready to take ownership of mechanical design projects from concept through production. - Own the mechanical design of electro-mechanical systems using SolidWorks
- Design using plastic injection molding, rotational molding, sheet metal, and more
- Develop full assemblies and subcomponents with a focus on DFM and quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales
- Support project management activities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to BOM development, ECNs, simulation, and FMEA as needed
- BSME or BSMET with 5+ years of product design experience (or equivalent demonstrated expertise)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience designing electro-mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of component-level design and system-level integration
- Exposure to capital equipment, consumer products, or medical device design is a plus
- Detail-oriented and eager to solve problems with innovative, practical solutions
