Responsibilities include:

Identify, lead, and implement production cost reduction initiatives
Review and analyze plant operations to reduce downtime, utility/power consumption, and enhance safety
Ensure timely completion of projects by managing vendors, contractors, and collaborating with plant and corporate personnel
Provide training and guidance for preventive and repair maintenance to optimize plant operations
Communicate effectively with vendors regarding project timelines, budget estimates, and price negotiations
Perform technical/engineering analysis to determine equipment specifications
Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, FDA Regulations, and Permitting requirements

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred)
3 years of relevant experience
Technical system analysis, design skills, technical understanding, process improvement, CAD, manufacturing methods and procedures, preventative maintenance
Process equipment knowledge, including a background in food ingredients storage, conveying of powders and liquid ingredients, continuous and batch mixing processes, extrusion, cooling, and coating processes
