Job Description
Property Management Specialist
We are seeking a Property Management Specialist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:
- Assist in leasing apartments, showing units, and emphasizing amenities and community services
- Conduct unit inspections, noting maintenance needs and recommending charges when necessary
- Walk or drive the property grounds to ensure compliance with property standards and follow up with lease violations
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing questions and resolving issues
- Process paperwork for utility billings, rent payments, and lease agreements, ensuring accuracy
- Set up and maintain confidential resident files, compile management reports, and update vacancy data
- Assist with interim re-examinations of residents reporting changes in family or income status
- Handle general office tasks such as typing correspondence, maintaining supplies, and supporting property management activities
- At least one year of administrative experience (e.g., filing, scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong telephone and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute and perform basic business math
- Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
