Property Management Specialist
Do you enjoy working with others and want to help people lease apartments? Strong communication and strong work ethic is needed.
What you need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of customer service experience
- Strong typing skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Groupwise
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and assists clients with housing application process.
- Answering inquiries concerning process and application status
- Managing the waiting area and assigning new applicants to Housing Specialists for completion of the application process
- Processes applications for potential residents. Enter basic data into applicant processing software system
- Generate letters to inform clients of the status of their application and responds to applicants’ telephone inquiries.
- Transmits criminal background checks and rental history checks for each applicant.
- Verifies residency, employment, income, etc. on applicants.
- Open, timestamps and distributes mail. Copies and distributes necessary documents and forms and maintains all office files.
- Tracks payments made by clients.
- Tracks requests for hearings from applicants who are denied housing
- Operates a multi-line switchboard
- Perform additional duties as assigned
