- Inspect metal products, materials, and assemblies for defects or deviations from customer specifications.
- Utilize various manual and automated measuring equipment and tools.
- Precisely measure fabricated part dimensions, surfaces, and finishes.
- Transfer measurement data to customer First Article Inspection documentation.
- Have a deep understanding of sheet metal job shop equipment, including lasers, press brakes, punch press turrets, and welding processes.
- Execute duties with a high level of detail orientation, managing paperwork-intensive tasks.
- Knowledge of Part Submission Warrants, PPAP’s, Balloon Drawings, Process Inspection Flowcharts, etc.
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
- GD&T knowledge.
- Deep understanding of sheet metal job shop equipment, including lasers, press brakes, punch press turrets, and welding processes (welding CWI is a big plus).
- Proficient in the use of manual and automated measuring equipment and tools.
- Ability to precisely measure fabricated part dimensions, surfaces, and finishes.
- Familiarity with Part Submission Warrants, PPAP’s, Balloon Drawings, Process Inspection Flowcharts, etc.
