Quality Engineer
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | Full-time
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Monroe, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.
Position Overview
Drive continuous improvement within manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Utilize data-driven analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variation, minimize waste, and improve performance
Partner with cross-functional teams to support a strong quality culture and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities
Identify and lead quality improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance
Analyze process data and metrics to uncover inefficiencies and recommend solutions
Collaborate with operations teams to implement corrective actions and drive root cause analysis
Communicate with customers to address quality concerns and implement effective resolutions
Support development and maintenance of quality management systems, policies, and procedures
Coordinate quality-related training and ensure proper documentation and tracking
Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Continuous Improvement & Analysis
Apply Lean Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA, capability studies) to drive improvements
Reduce process variation and improve overall process capability
Interpret data from manufacturing systems to support decision-making and performance improvements
Lead and manage quality-focused projects from concept through implementation
Collaboration & Communication
Work cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and customers to achieve quality objectives
Present findings, recommendations, and training materials to diverse audiences
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;plastics experience preferred
Proven experience leading quality improvement projects
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt required or willingness to obtain;Black Belt preferred)
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint);experience with ERP systems (e.G., SAP) a plus
Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.G., Minitab) and manufacturing systems (MES)
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities
