- Perform testing and auditing to ensure products are manufactured and shipped according to company specifications.
- Assist in problem-solving related to product quality, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the implementation of effective solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the continued success of the business.
- Monitor and collect qualitative/quantitative data for all products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Input analytical data into the computerized lab management system.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the calibration of test equipment as scheduled.
- Follow lab standard operating procedures and methods.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, including risk assessments, deviations, retesting, and rejections of raw materials and finished goods.
- Monitor and approve production equipment sanitation, start-up, and performance.
- Monitor the plant environment using test equipment and procedures.
- Audit production lines and operator checks routinely throughout production.
- Monitor plant GMPs and quality and food safety programs through assigned audits and support corrective actions.
- Support technical communication of information in shift team meetings and with cross-functional shift team members.
- Investigate, test, and collect data to improve processes or product/packaging regularly.
- Support technical, quality, food safety, continuous improvement, cost reduction, and R&D projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field, plus some practical experience, OR 3+ years of experience in a laboratory quality assurance role (Food and Flavor OR Chemical).
- Familiarity with GMP.
- Comfortable with variability and flexibility, adapting to changes in a dynamic environment.
