Real Estate Staff Accountant
Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 8am-5pm
Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Shared Services team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Staff Accountant to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records related to real estate transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with property managers and other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in audits and implement audit recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and real estate financial practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
