Responsibilities include:
  • Provide support on HR topics including talent development, retention, performance management, employee relations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Source, recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; lead the hourly recruitment process for both direct hire and temporary labor.
  • Initiate and manage screenings (background, drug, employment, E-Verify, and I-9).
  • Attend and participate in hiring events to attract potential candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct orientations for new hires and temporary labor.
  • Process FMLA, terminations, unemployment claims, and employment verifications.
  • Assist in HR reporting activities by updating regular and ad-hoc reports for the HR Scorecard.
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to the Senior HR Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate employee files related to personal and work status affairs.
  • Perform other duties within competence as requested.
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field desired; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a relevant HR or recruiting role; experience within a manufacturing environment is desired.
