Job Description
Revenue Accountant
Are you an experienced accountant looking to advance your career in a company that values internal growth? We are seeking a talented Revenue Accountant to join our team, offering a collaborative environment, excellent benefits, and bonus eligibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Record data into the project and cost accounting financial system
- Analyze project tracking data, ensuring accurate recording of actual and estimated costs
- Review budget-to-actual variances by project and provide insights to management
- Monitor changes in project design, materials, and services to assess cost impacts
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other stakeholders to track project progress and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support new projects coming online in various states and assist with licensing and registration
- Conduct monthly project reviews to verify the percentage of completion compared to costs and budgets
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and account reconciliations for revenue accounts
- Assist the Revenue Accounting Manager with daily operations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on cost accounting, project accounting, or revenue analysis
- Experience in the construction industry is required
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong spreadsheet analysis abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members
