Are you an experienced safety professional looking to step into a highly visible role with the opportunity to lead and develop a safety program? We are seeking a Safety Manager to provide safety support in Ohio – Fairfield & Dayton – and southern Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a Safety Coordinator ready to advance into a management role and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage safety systems, processes, and procedures to ensure accident-free workplaces at all facilities
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the safety program
- Maintain and analyze safety data, including OSHA logs and safety observations, to identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver safety training programs to meet internal and customer requirements
- Publish monthly safety reports and employee newsletters
- Lead incident investigations for all safety-related incidents
- Foster a culture of safety engagement among employees
- Stay current on safety innovations and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Coordinate and manage safety audits at multiple locations, including monthly audits at service facilities and quarterly audits at additional sites
- Build and maintain relationships with safety-related suppliers
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial safety
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead teams
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through, especially in high-pressure situations like audits
- Self-directed, professional, and adaptable personality to manage changing demands
- Ability to travel to multiple locations, including monthly travel to Dayton, OH, and Plymouth, MI
- Stability in previous roles
