Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, particularly within fuel industry regulations.

Ensure multi-state compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.

Research tax laws, exemptions, and credits related to fuel and general operations.

Maintain and manage business licenses and registrations, including renewals.

Track and meet all filing deadlines, reconcile accounts, and support audits.

Help develop and implement tax planning strategies to reduce liabilities.

Work cross-functionally and with outside agencies to resolve tax-related issues.

Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact compliance.

3+ years of sales tax compliance experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.

Strong working knowledge of Excel and comfort handling complex datasets.

Familiarity with sales and use tax regulations—fuel industry knowledge is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple filings and deadlines.
