Job Title: School Based Therapist
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Based Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to students, helping them overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The therapist will work closely with school staff, parents, and external mental health professionals to ensure a supportive environment for student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with students.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administrators to support student well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions.
- Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid Ohio state licensure as a therapist (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, or equivalent).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in behavioral interventions and trauma-informed care.
- Knowledge of school systems and educational frameworks.
- Experience with diverse populations and cultural competency.
