We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team at our Global HQ in West Chester, Ohio. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team at our Global HQ in West Chester, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, rapidly growing company that values expertise in accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial accounting and tax compliance, along with the desire to drive efficiencies and improvements within our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage full accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger integrity.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant standards.
- Manage and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, specifically sales and use tax.
- Prepare and file tax returns, conduct tax research, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
- Assist with external audits and implement and maintain effective internal controls.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to other accounting team members.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management accordingly.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA designation required.
- 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or audit environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, including sales and use tax.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software; experience with Thomas Reuters OneSource is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also managing responsibilities independently.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 1 day remote per week with flexibility for family needs
- Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000
- Bonus: 2.5% of annual salary, based on company performance
